The Lovely Bones
Both the book and the film were hard for me to stomach even though I loved them. Mainly because the idea of murder—especially that of a child—is something that normal people try not to think of. This story did an excellent job of portraying how the death of a family member, especially through horrific circumstances, can either destroy a family or bring them back together. Also loved that the book was told from Susie's perspective. Great read.
